Emily O’Neil

As the Media Relations and Public Relations Associate, Emily handles media outreach and coordination for the firm’s practice areas and attorneys. This includes speaking to the press about potential topic attorneys can provide legal comment on, and connecting the press to attorneys to meet their media needs. She will also assist the marketing team with social media and event planning. In this role, Emily aims to expand the Tully Rinckey brand, while being a helpful contact to external media outlets.

Before joining the firm, Emily was the Sports Editor for the New Paltz Oracle. In that role, she developed a great appreciation for media outreach and developing relationships with reporters. She often had to pitch story ideas, and comes to the firm feeling comfortable speaking and interacting with the press.

Emily graduated from the State University of New York at New Paltz with a bachelor’s degree in communications and public relations, and a minor in creative writing. As an undergraduate, Emily completed an internship with the campus’ Center for Student Media.
